    Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is phycological tool that applies hypnosis in a clinical way.  Hypnotherapy is a focused relaxation that helps to bypass the conscious mind, and get at the unconscious level where the power lies. Before a session begins it should be a detail explanation of what hypnosis is about, and address with the hypnotherapist any medical history, so the hypnotherapist can apply a procedure more effectively and thoughtfully.

Hypnosis is a heightened state of concentration and focus attention.

When you are hypnotized, you are put into a trance, or an altered state of consciousness, but don’t let this scare you! It only means that you have shifted your focus away from your conscious everyday world, and that you’ve focused your thinking inward as to let your mind drift off to an idea or thought. That’s what being in a trance is about.

When you watched a movie or read a book, and your mind is so  concentrated on it that you’ve  ignored the world around you for a moment. No one was taking over  your mind, but rather you were just using your mind in other way. Your mind was awake, but in a type of  daydreaming. The amazing part is that you can communicate with your subconscious mind, and reprogram it to remove false beliefs that are not happy or productive for you, and are replace with healthier, and convenient ones that give you the type of life you’ve been looking for.

Entering into your subconscious mind removes resistance from your conscious mind.

Your conscious mind is analytical, skeptical, and rationalize everything keeping you on the move, so as to not give you any time to slow down, be present, or use your mind with more accuracy.

Countless research findings have shown that there is a biological aspect of hypnosis and this data also supports the American Psychological Association’s claim that during hypnosis our brain cells communicate using electrical impulses, currents that flow from one brain cell to the next. The cells don’t fire these impulses in isolation, but in groups and in synchrony. They also fire at distinct frequencies in diverse states of awareness, which are called brain wave rhythms. As like electrical impulses as a language that your brain speaks and the brain wave rhythms as the speed at which the language is spoken…some people talk too fast, while others talk too slow.

When we are sleeping the frequency of brain waves are very slow. In deep sleep state these are called Delta waves frequencies, while a relative high frequency characterizes by wakefulness these are call Beta waves frequencies. Research shows that the frequency of the brain waves during hypnosis is the same, as that observe during deep relaxation or focus concentration, which is the Theta waves frequencies, thus lending support to the idea that hypnosis is different than the alternate sleep state and is actually related to the subconscious part of the mind.

The Subconscious mind is the emotional and creative area, the one that communicates with symbols and images. The subconscious mind tends to take over when we get stress out and anxious feelings, then we envision images of the worst case situations in our lives.

The Conscious Mind  tends to be more dominant through our every day lives. the Conscious Mind is more intellectual, and rational, but is indifferent when we are anxious, emotionally and needy. According to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai NYU
